We’re excited to introduce you to one of her latest meaningful creations, which comes at a perfect time amid the turmoil in the world today.

One of the most oft-quoted yet often overlooked phrases within the Hebrew Bible happens to be the phrase “Al Tira—Do not Fear!” Why does God continuously remind His people over and over again not to be Afraid? Because not only does fear show distrust in God and His promises, it also is a paralyzing factor, keeping God’s people from where He wants them to be.

Move Forward!

One of the most famous Biblical instances where we find the phrase “Al Tira” comes right after the Israelites leave Egypt and Pharaoh and his army attempt to re-enslave the newly liberated Hebrew nation. The Israelites have become trapped between the Egyptian army and the Sea of Reeds. At that moment, Moses stands and declares to the entire Israelite nation “Al Tira’u—Do not Fear!”

But instead of taking comfort in these words and acting on God’s Word, the people instead become paralyzed and distressed about their situation. Even after God instructs Moses to tell the people, “Move Forward,” we’re told in the Midrash (Biblical exegesis by early Rabbis) that only Nahshon, son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah jumped into the raging Sea of Reeds. Upon seeing the faith of Nahshon, Moses raised his staff causing the Sea to split, allowing the rest of the Israelites to cross over on dry ground.

Nahshon didn’t allow his life to be ruled by the plaguing doubts affecting the other Israelites. Nahshon lived his life according to the phrase “Al Tira—Do not Fear!”

A Beautiful Encouragement

As the world has taken a roller coaster ride of chaos over the past few years, Sarah Feld created the “Al Tira” as well as other beautiful jewelry pieces to remind the wearer that, no matter what, God remains in control. Sarah once told us, COVID-19 is another wake up call to the entire world questioning if we are ready to welcome God into our realm.

The response is up to us. Don’t be paralyzed by fear, rather, trust God’s words, and, “Al Tira—Do not Fear!” Work to infuse Godliness and goodness back into our world. One of the ways you can do that is by wearing what you believe. Declare to everyone who sees you that our God holds us in the palm of His hand, and enables us to walk without fear!
