Tahini Dip

Tahini is a very popular dip and sauce in the Middle East. It's also one of the main ingredients of Hummus! Along with offering you the best Tahini from the Land of Israel, we want to share how you can turn it into an incredible creamy sauce and dip.

Ingredients:

 1/2 cup Tahini

1-2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice

1 Garlic Clove, minced

2 Tablespoons Olive Oil

~ 6 Tablespoons Water (adjust to desired consistency)

1/4 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)

1/4 teaspoon ground Cumin (optional, for extra flavor)

Za'atar (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Stir up the Tahini in the jar as it has a tendency to separate
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 1/2 cup tahini and lemon juice with an electric hand mixer on low speed. It may thicken up at first, which is normal.
  3. Add garlic and olive oil
  4. Adjust consistency: Gradually add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking after each addition until the dip reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Stir in the salt and optional cumin, adjusting to taste.
  6. Garnish with olive oil and Za'atar and enjoy!
