The UN has shown its true colors once again. The international body, which puts human-rights abusing countries on human-rights councils, has judged Israel once more. This time, it comes in the form of a report documenting businesses involved in activities related to Israeli cities in “Occupied Palestinian Territory,” i.e. Judea and Samaria. The companies that made the list are associated with activities that the UN Human Rights Council decided raised “human rights concerns.” These included activities like:
- Supplying equipment and materials for construction in settlements, and for Israel’s security fence (which when it was built resulted in a massive drop in terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians).
- Supplying settlements with security equipment (to detect terrorists and prevent them from doing harm).
-
Providing settlements with finances to build and expand. (The settlements have contributed to an increased standard of living in Judea and Samaria for Jews and Palestinians alike. The businesses on the list include supermarket chains, fuel and transportation companies, and food and clothing manufacturers that provide goods, services, and employment to Israelis and Palestinians alike.
This report is a thinly veiled, antisemitic, discriminating attempt to deligitimize Israeli settlements, and promote the boycotts, divestments, and sanctions against Israel. The United Nations is continuing a long tradition of attacking Israel, while turning a blind eye to actual human rights abuses in countries like Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela. While the US government has done much to stand up for Israel at the UN in the last three years, its citizens, and lovers of Israel everywhere, can also stand up and make a difference. Look at what the UN wants people to do—trying to get us to boycott, and divest from, businesses associated with Israel’s Heartland—and do the opposite. Get involved in the exciting restoration in Judea and Samaria by buying products and visiting the Land! Spread the word about the beautiful Jewish families rebuilding their ancient homeland while holding strong to the promises of God and ignoring the condemnation of the world. Let’s make this “blacklist” backfire!

With BDS and other anti-semites in the U.N. is it surprising that they would issue a blacklist against Isreal and leave China, Russia, and North Korea out when they are the countries who are dictators.
