From Makura Farm in the Carmel Mountains of northern Israel, this organic extra virgin olive oil is made from 100% Souri olives, also commonly spelled Suri. This traditional eastern Mediterranean variety is known for its aromatic fruitiness, balanced bitterness, and distinctive peppery finish.
Makura Farm lies near Kerem Maharal in the Carmel region, within a secluded valley shaped by an ancient extinct volcano. Its Mediterranean climate is well suited to olive cultivation. The farm uses sustainable organic agricultural methods that care for the trees, soil, and water while preserving the natural character of the grove.
Makura oversees every stage of production, from growing the olives and selecting the ideal harvest time to processing the fruit on the same day it is picked. The oil is cold-pressed to preserve its freshness, aroma, and distinctive flavor.

Haven't tried this olive oil yet, but anxious to try it soon. I heard from the internet that it helps with reducing glucose for people with Type 2 diabetes, and I have type 2 diabetes. I also plan to give a bottle as a gift to an elderly couple celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in July as a toast for good health and wellness. Israeli food products are so pure and nutritious, especially oils from these healthy trees that are at least 400 years old.
