On Monday, the Israeli Defense Forces launched its largest operation in the city of Jenin in two decades, aimed at thwarting terrorism, by going after the terrorist leadership and their infrastructure—weapons and explosives.. Jenin, a city in Samaria, about 30 miles north of the biblical city of Shechem, has long been a terrorist hotspot and launchpad for terror attacks on Israelis.
According to the IDF, since the beginning of 2022, around 56 shooting attacks have been carried out by terrorists from Jenin. This is a sharp increase and Israel was forced to launch an operation into the city to root it out.
A Glaring Double Standard
If any other country was forced to launch a military operation to defend its civilians from being targeted by indiscriminate rocket attacks, car-rammings, shootings, and knife attacks, no other country in the world would bat an eyelash. Yet, when Israel launches a pinpoint military operation into a city known to be a hotspot for terrorists whose only goal is to take the innocent lives of Jews, the world jumps to condemn Israel and call them the aggressor.
- Rashida Tlaib, a sitting United States Representative, tweeted about the situation and said that "Congress must stop funding this violent Israeli apartheid regime," a vile anti-Semitic comment from a current member of the U.S. government.
- A U.N. spokesperson told the BBC that they were "alarmed at the scale of air and ground operations that are taking place in Jenin," without any condemnation or mention of the terror attacks that made the operation necessary.
- And, of course, the media was happy to paint Israel as the aggressor, with CNN giving a platform to Nour Odeh, a Palestinian activist, who falsely accused Israel of using extreme force against civilians and said that this Israeli government was committed to crushing Palestinian freedom.
- MSNBC followed suit with reporter Andrea Mitchell calling the operation Israeli "attacks" on the Palestinian city of Jenin, called the West Bank occupied by Israel, repeated claims from the Palestinian Authority that Israel was committing war crimes, and said that the "settler incursion, really, into occupied areas has been extraordinary."
The headlines are filled with a false narrative about Israel, and dishonor the many victims of Palestinian terrorism
Of course, these lies and attacks on Israel for defending themselves from terror attacks are no surprise. But what they should do is remind us that we can't expect any help from the world to defend Israel. It's up to us—lovers of truth—to step up, stand for Israel, and support the Jews building a bright future in the biblical heartland, despite the tremendous obstacles in their way!

Stories that need to be told
So, if the corporate media and the rest of the world won't expose the evils of terrorism or report the truth about the situation, then we must.
Is the IDF operation in Jenin really simply an unprovoked invasion, or is it a direct result of a rise in terror that has claimed the lives of over 20 innocent Jews, left 14 more injured, and impacted so many more families across Israel this year alone? The corporate media won’t tell you about the beautiful lives cut short by horrific terrorism—that necessitated this operation. So we will.
On February 26th, 2023, two brothers, aged 19 and 21 years old, Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, were driving through the city of Huwara when they were gunned down in cold blood. The two brothers left behind their parents and three younger siblings. According to the Times of Israel, the mom, Esti Yaniv, said before the funeral that "instead of accompanying children to the wedding canopy, we need to bury them," and their sister Rachel, said, "This is hard, and this hurts. We are going through not-so-simple times. But we are strong, and the Jewish people have gone through so many other difficult things. I am sure we will be able to bear it."
More than 25 Israelis have been murdered in terrorist attacks since the beginning of 2023
Just a few weeks later, on April 7th, 15-year-old Rina, 20-year-old Maia, and their mother Lucy were driving in the Jordan Valley when terrorists fired on the car, causing it to crash; the terrorists again fired on the vehicle killing the defenseless sisters and critically wounding the mother, who died three days later. The three were survived by the father of the family, who was driving in a vehicle up ahead and turned back to see his daughters dead and his wife critically wounded, according to the Times of Israel.
Just over a month ago, Meir Tamari was murdered while driving home to his wife Tal and two young daughters, Yahav, aged one, and Alma, age two. The family had just finished building a home in Samaria. At the funeral, the bereaved mother said, "today we were supposed to have a fun day with the children, to celebrate your birthday. Instead of congratulating you, we are here eulogizing you. This is a reality that does not make sense...We were supposed to grow old together and have more children. To do so many things. Now I’m alone with them."
These are just three of the heartbreaking stories that have become all too commonplace in Israel. Jews murdered simply for being Jews living in Israel, and families left grieving and bereft of their fathers, mothers, daughters, sons, brothers, and sisters.
May their memories be a blessing.
Time to speak up
We know that the world will continue to attack Israel and refuse to report on the reality of what is happening in Israel. The Jews living in Judea and Samaria are attacked not only by these terrorists who seek their destruction but also by the United Nations, countries around the globe, and the corporate media. It is up to us to be advocates for Israel. We need to step up and take action. The part of Blessed Buy Israel in this is to invite you to join us and invest in the small business and families returning and building in the heart of the Promised Land, Judea & Samaria.

Shalom to all ,
Though I am not Israeli, I understand the full meaning of this word. I speak shalom to the land of Israel and over every person living there. I think that covers every one and every thing. What more can a person say? I am saddened by the violence to God’s chosen people, the senseless killing, the lies, and the lack of support. These people do not realize the payback coming to them. They have a huge surprise coming their way eventually.
God will have His way. Miracles keep coming, angels watch over you, bombs don’t do what they were sent for, many earmarked for death are alive today because God’s on your side. I love you all and pray your leaders will have wisdom to do what needs to be done and the timing. Keep your head held high, be in outraged. We are many who pray for you.
Yours in Christ,
Shalom
