Makura’s Coratina EVOO is especially prized for its very high polyphenol content, with typical counts greater than 700 mg/kg. Polyphenols are naturally occurring antioxidants found in extra virgin olive oil, and they contribute to the oil’s bold flavor, bitterness, pepperiness, and nutritional value.

This is a full-bodied olive oil with pronounced fruity, grassy, and herbaceous notes. It adds depth, structure, and character to food, making it an excellent choice when you want the olive oil to stand out rather than disappear into the dish.
