Israel on the Frontlines of a Shared Fight for Freedom

America has been a friend to Israel from the very beginning, despite the hatred from many other nations. America has often been a lone friendly face in light of the constant international pressure, wars, and terrorism. The United States has also provided a lot of military aid to our strategic partner in the region, while at the same time shielding them from anti-Israel UN resolutions at an international level.

America has done so much for Israel—what has this small country done in return? Actually, they have done a lot. One should remember that the Iranian chant has always been, “Death to America, Death to Israel.” Israel shares common enemies with us—not just the Iranians, but all of the various nations who hate truth and light.

When Israel defends itself from terrorists and jihadists, it is defending America, since both nations stand up for Biblical truth and justice. Israel shares much of its intelligence with America, since the Middle East can be a rather tumultuous place. Israel also shares its expertise on counter-terrorism with numerous agencies all across the U.S., including our military and other governmental programs.

Israel is one of the leading countries when it comes to cyber-security and online protection, all of which are important for keeping American interests safe as well. Israel is also one of the testing grounds for, and biggest buyers of, American-built weapon systems. Considering the fact that Israel is a country surrounded by enemies, they are perfect for testing out what works on the modern battlefield, which ultimately saves the lives of Americans going into combat.

Israel is on the frontlines not only for its own citizens but also for all of us as Americans. As we look forward to celebrating this year’s 4th of July, let us also remember our friends, brothers, and allies in the Middle East, who are reminding us, even today, that “freedom is not free!” They are fighting for us too!

And that is why the final and greatest connection between America and Israel is our shared belief in the values and morals of the Bible—God’s book for mankind. Both of our nations have a shared love and reverence for the God of Israel, and as long as this is the case, our nations can fight alongside one another in order that freedom—God’s glorious freedom—may reign.

Happy 4th of July! And never forget the cost of freedom! Support Israel and the brave men and women serving on the frontlines today!
