As we begin another year, I want to highlight some ways we can be praying for Israel in the days ahead.

Pray God’s Word Over Israel

Do not be silent for the sake of Zion (Isaiah 62:1), and pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)! We also need to pray for Jewish Communities worldwide for safety, amid the explosion of antisemitism the past few years and much innocent bloodshed.

Pray for the situation in Gaza

Israel is at the point in President Trump’s ceasefire where a so-called International Stabilization Force is supposed to take over, to bring order and enforce the disarmament of Hamas. Major obstacles at this stage include the fact that Hamas has not yet returned the body of the last hostage, Ran Gvili, who was murdered on October 7, and is refusing to disarm.

Pray for Israel to make the right decisions and not make any compromises that would lead to more Jewish lives being lost. Pray for the return of the last hostage, Ran Gvili.

Pray for Iran's wicked leaders to be toppled

Big things are happening in Iran right now. A few weeks ago we learned about the possibility of Israel striking Iran's weapons programs again. Then, widespread protests began on Iran’s streets, and it appears that the regime is the weakest it’s ever been. Pray that the wicked leadership of Iran is deposed and that the nation would no longer be a threat to Israel, as they have been the major planners and financers of terrorism against Israel for many years.

Pray for Israel’s relationship with the United States and the rest of the World

Praise God, in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent meeting with President Trump, there seemed to be a lot of goodwill and agreement. Pray that the United States will continue to be a strong backer of Israel and not act against it. Pray that more nations will stand with Israel and turn from their hostility!

Israel Elections

Israel is scheduled to have elections this year. Pray that good leaders will be raised up who will do what’s right, and bring strength and unity.
