"Creating jewelry for me is a way of expressing my love for the beauty in creation"
Maayan Ayash was born in Brazil into a family of artists, where she absorbed a deep love of aesthetics and developed an eye for finding beauty in the world around her. She grew up surrounded by nature's own gems—a childhood of beaches, forests, and color.
After a long journey of searching, Maayan made Aliyah to Israel. Here she embarked on an profound immersion in Jewish learning, beginning in Tzfat and continuing through years of studying traditional goldsmithing and Judaica in Jerusalem. From there, she found her way to the landscape of the Samarian Mountains.
In the town of Yitzhar, she set up her workshop in front of a sweeping view of the mountain range stretching all the way to the sea. For Maayan, creating jewelry is a form of expressing her love for the beauty of creation. It is a way to bring joy and feeling, to remember and to honor.
