A New Year for a Greater Impact

As the Jewish New Year begins, in a season of introspection, reflection, and new beginnings, it is time to make some lasting resolutions that will not only improve our own lives but also positively impact the world around us.

I recently heard it said that as Americans, we often, “overestimate what can be accomplished in one year, while underestimating what can be accomplished in five.” Consistency is key when it comes to making an impact. Often, we want to jump from one thing to the next, hoping for a jackpot-like impact; however, great things require dedicated perseverance to a specific cause in order to see a lasting difference.

Therefore, this holiday season, let us each make the decision that the new year of 5786 will be a year of supporting Israel and the communities in Judea and Samaria as we have never done before! They need our help, as they live and work on the front lines of the land of Israel. We can be the difference-makers of this generation, helping to bring the light and goodness of Israel to the rest of the world.

The question, however, is whether we will make the decision this year to do more than we have ever done before. A new year is upon us, and with it come decisions; the decisions of what difference we will make in order that this new year will not just be a sweet new year for us, but also for those around us and for the entire world! May there be peace for us, for all Israel, and for the world in this coming New Year!
